The cineMINDS project will be presented to the public at the 2026 Zurich Film Festival.
cineMINDS collects interviews with filmmakers and other professionals from the film industry. The focus is on their practical knowledge of filmmaking, which is often difficult to access in traditional archives. An AI-powered online platform makes the interviews searchable and links them to other databases. This creates a freely accessible repository of knowledge on the art and craft of cinema.
The presentation will take place on Friday, 25 September 2026, at 3.30 pm in the NZZ Festival Lounge at the Festival Centre. cineMINDS is part of the ZFF’s #ai program, which explores the use of AI in the public sphere and at the intersection of film culture, academia and the audience.
