Discover global history in a virtual museum

ZHdK and PHZH are jointly developing a digital learning app for history lessons in lower secondary schools. “Müliweg eins” invites pupils to discover historical everyday objects from Swiss collections – such as a tobacco pipe or a nutmeg grater – and, in doing so, to explore global connections for themselves. Rather than being presented with ready-made narratives, learners work like curators. They observe, organise and create their own historical connections.

The educational app “Müliweg eins” is being developed as a prototype as part of the “Histories for the global present” project. It will be available in June. Further details can be found on the project website: : mueliwegeins.ch
