Practice parent-teacher meetings with AI avatars

Difficult conversations with parents are part of everyday life at schools. At PHZH, prospective teachers can now practice such situations virtually: students interact with two AI avatars using VR glasses or a laptop. The first simulates realistic conversations with parents on topics such as school anxiety, transferring schools, or cyberbullying, while the second acts as a coach and conducts a structured debriefing.

An initial pilot test with students has yielded positive results: after the training, participants felt more confident in challenging conversation situations. The feedback is now being incorporated into further development. Another round with around 80 students will follow in March.

The project is being implemented as part of IMMERSE.
