From 20 to 29 March 2026, DIZH-funded projects will be featured at ‘After The Algorithm’. The festival combines international art with Swiss research and makes artificial intelligence accessible to those without technical knowledge. All four DIZH universities are involved.
YuRo
Reliable perception is one of the biggest challenges for robots in human environments. The YuRo project enables rapid responses, which are crucial for safe human-robot interactions. The system recognises objects and determines their position in 3D space in real time. In future, the technology will be used to perform assistance tasks in hospitals and care facilities.
YuRo can be experienced as an interactive installation at the festival: visitors move their hands and a robot arm follows their movements. A screen provides insights into the technology processes running in the background.

Insight into the Yuro project
Counter Speech Hero
The installation transforms a robot bar into a place of resistance against hate speech. Visitors pay for their drinks with their faces, have them served by a robot, and learn the most effective strategies for dealing with social media algorithms. As a souvenir, they receive a personalised Counter Speech Hero certificate. The strategies were developed in the Social Influencer project.

Me to the Power of Two
The Me to the Power of Two project poses an unusual question: What would you say to your younger self? Based on a single childhood photo, the installation creates a digital copy and enables a virtual encounter with yourself.
