Data Story: Digital solutions for the canton Zurich

Which partner organisations does the DIZH work with, and what impact does it have there?

Research has an impact when it is put into practice. The innovation program is designed to transfer research findings on digital transformation to the Canton of Zurich.

In 140 approved projects, Zurich’s universities are collaborating with 235 industry partners. These include private companies, public bodies and non-profit organisations. All are facing specific challenges posed by digitalisation or wish to explore new opportunities in collaboration with the research community. The most active partner is the Canton of Zurich, with 20 project participations.

To date, most partnerships have been established with the private sector, closely followed by the public and third sectors. The private sector also has the greatest number of different partners, at 115, whereas in the public sector, for example, many partners are involved in several projects. This relatively even distribution shows that the projects in the innovation programme are broadly based and that their impact is not concentrated in any one area.
