Launch of the MindfulPacer app

Activity pacing is a central part of everyday life for many people with long Covid or chronic fatigue. However, it is often difficult to correctly assess one’s own physical and mental limits, which frequently leads to overexertion.

This is where the MindfulPacer app comes in. It allows users to define individual biometric limits such as heart rate. If these limits are exceeded over a certain period of time, the app sends a reminder via a smartwatch to take a break. In addition, events are automatically recorded in a diary and can be evaluated later.

MindfulPacer was presented at a launch event on 29 January. Around 65 interested parties took part and discussed questions relating to activity pacing. Chantal Britt, president of the Long Covid Switzerland association and advisor to the project, provided insights from the perspective of those affected. A recording of the event is available here.

MindfulPacer is now available free of charge for iOS and WatchOS.

An Android trial version will be available soon for those interested. Register here.

MindfulPacer was funded in the first Outreach Call.
