The study ‘Collaborative Design and Development of a Patient-Centred Digital Health App for Supportive Cancer Care: Participatory Study’ was published in JMIR Human Factors.
The study describes the collaborative design and development process of the digital health app OncoSupport+, which is specifically tailored to the needs of supportive cancer care.
As part of Digital Health Zurich, the perspectives of cancer patients and medical professionals were examined: How can a health app provide optimal support to cancer patients during their treatment?
The OncoSupport+ app records patient-reported outcomes in everyday life, offers personalised access to supportive services (e.g. nutritional advice, physiotherapy) and provides nurses with a dashboard for visualising symptoms and data for consultations.
