Recap: AIXSummit 2025

On 2 October 2025, the AI+X Summit took place in Oerlikon. The summit focused on the diverse applications of artificial intelligence. Both ZHAW and UZH contributed numerous presentations and insights from research and teaching.

The ZHAW was represented by several departments, including Applied Linguistics, Engineering, Management & Law, and Life Sciences & Facility Management. Panels, workshops and demonstrations presented topics such as language models in communication, AI-supported production optimisation and humanoid robotics. At the ZHAW stand, visitors were able to interactively experience AI applications from research, from the humanoid robot KAI to projects in the fields of physical AI and neuromorphic computing.

UZH was also actively represented via its UZH.ai platform. More than 160 UZH researchers are involved in the field of AI, and the range of topics was correspondingly diverse: from AI in medicine to autonomous driving and applications in the workplace. The AI Buddy team took the opportunity to deepen exchanges with students, researchers and companies.
