PH Zurich opens Immerse Lab

The new Immerse Lab at PH Zurich is a dedicated space for exploring and advancing immersive technologies in education. The lab is part of the IMMERSE project, which is funded in the 2nd Structure Call. Its aim is to promote the pedagogically sound use of emerging visual technologies such as virtual and augmented reality in teaching and learning.

At the Immerse Lab, experts from various disciplines come together to explore the potential of immersive technologies and to develop ideas into prototypes. The lab is open to professionals from vocational and higher education and serves as a collaborative environment for experimentation, reflection and co-creation.

The IMMERSE project is jointly led by three Zurich universities: the University of Zurich contributes expertise in visual computing and artificial intelligence, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) brings its strengths in technology development and industry collaboration, and PH Zurich provides its pedagogical and didactic know-how. This partnership fosters practice-oriented innovation and strengthens the exchange between education, research and technology.
