The fourth DSI Insights is dedicated to the position paper ‘Recommendations for a future with quantum technology’. This paper was produced as part of the fifth DSI Strategy Lab.
In the ‘DSI Insights’ column, Titus Neupert writes that quantum technologies such as quantum computing, quantum communication and quantum sensor technology are advancing rapidly. Switzerland does not yet have a clear strategy, although quantum computers could crack encryption in the future. At the same time, quantum sensor technology opens up great opportunities for medicine, geology and navigation. Targeted funding and investment are urgently needed to remain competitive.
