Looking Back: CAS Cyber Risk Awareness

How can organizations effectively protect their employees from cyberattacks?

The new CAS Cyber Risk Awareness at ZHAW addresses exactly this question. The program focuses on the human factor as a key element in information security. It combines practical experience with scientific insights and is aimed at professionals who want to strengthen cybersecurity awareness within their organizations.

Following the first successful run in spring 2025, Nico Ebert and the CYRENZH team are pleased with the results: nine participants developed hands-on projects with measurable impact — for example, in schools where simple interventions led to more secure behavior. The program is a joint initiative by CYRENZH, ZHAW, UZH and SWITCH, supported by an interdisciplinary team from psychology, communication, education, and technology.

The next edition will begin in spring 2026. First registrations are already in.
