ChirpScan

Biodiversity monitoring of grasshoppers with an AI-supported mobile app

The aim of the project is to develop the “ChirpScan” app, which uses artificial intelligence to automatically classify grasshoppers based on their songs. The app enables efficient monitoring of biodiversity and serves as a didactic tool to promote biodiversity education. It is user-friendly and is aimed at experts, citizen scientists and non-experts.
