SDG Research Scout Ceremony Event

This event marks the launch of the SDG Research Scout. The SDG Research Scout is an interactive platform that connects over 100,000 publications from the University of Zurich (UZH) to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The platform leverages state-of-the-art natural language processing, explainable AI, and interactive visual data analytics.

Participants can expect:

• Overview of the methodology used to map UZH research to the SDGs

• Presentation of the AI-assisted labeling process developed in collaboration with UZH sustainability experts

• Introduction to concepts of explainable AI and human-AI collaboration in the context of sustainability

• Expert Panel: discussion on the potential of AI to advance sustainability initiatives
