Digital Trade Law in the Age of AI – Rebalancing Openness and Control

As AI rapidly transforms economies and societies, it is also beginning to reshape the foundations of digital trade governance.
On 24 June 2026, the DSI Community AI & Law and Trade Law 4.0 will host a workshop at the University of Zurich exploring a pressing question: How can digital trade law reconcile commitments to open and interoperable digital markets with growing demands for technological AI sovereignty, economic security, and regulatory control?
