Apéro Philo: AI, Post-Intellectual Property, and Co-Inherited Wealth

In collaboration with the ZHAW School of Life Sciences and Facility Management, and supported by The BRIDGE Lab, this event explores how Generative AI challenges traditional notions of intellectual property, authorship, and ownership. As AI systems increasingly build on vast public and private datasets, often without consent or compensation, we face a need to rethink how knowledge and creative output are treated. Could alternative models like “co-inherited wealth”, the idea that innovation and knowledge are collective inheritances rather than individual assets, offer a more just and future-oriented framework?
